For over 70 years, we have proudly remained rooted in Maryland. Established in 1948 by Boyd W. Hovermill in Baltimore, our company has grown alongside our clients while staying true to the local presence and service-driven values that have defined us since day one.

Journeyman Certified Mechanics
Our mechanics are among the best in the industry. They have all been trained and certified as a Journeyman, and they renew their certifications to stay up-to-date. It is our own employees who do the work, not subcontractors, so we are able to guarantee reliable results. We follow the installation protocol recommended by the manufacturers, using their products and adhesives for the best, long-lasting results.
Gary Heath, Jr.
Owner/President
Gary’s 38 years of experience began when he was an apprentice in the field. He earned his Journeyman’s certificate after 4 years of trade school in the carpentry and flooring program. Gary joined B.W. Hovermill in 1988 as an installer. His dedication, hard work, and professionalism earned him a position on the office management team in 1998. He is the 5th-generation owner of the company, continuing B.W. Hovermill’s unique tradition of passing on ownership to an employee. He loves spending time with his wife, son, and daughter, and he enjoys activities such as camping and fishing.
